Very friendly owners. Rooms are rustic and very clean. I would recommend if you want a get away. Support the local community not the big business.
We were just there a couple weeks ago for our third time staying after finding them while just driving through last year. We love coming here! The owners are so nice and we can't wait to get back before summer ends!!
This place is not huge or fancy instead its quaint and personable which in my book is way better and more appealing to our big family. We were welcomed just like any other guest and didn't have to worry about other guests in and out of their rooms and in hallways at all hours of the nights cause the cabins have their own doors right in the beautiful forest. Bugs were minimal so much that I didn't even have to spray my kids with poison to keep them safe which is a big bonus. The rooms were super affordable which again for a big family is great!
We decided on a last minute trip across the lake to Pentwater. Called to see if we could still get a room when we arrived at 10pm, was told no problem. Check in was easy. Room is exactly what one would expect at a country motel. Everything was clean, bed was comfortable and AC worked. Since we arrived on boat , we had no car. The owner offered us a ride back the marina. Talk about great service. Would recommend to anyone visiting Pentwater. Please note , I gave it 5 stars based on experience. It is not a 5 star hotel in the typical meaning. It is a rustic motel , but a good rustic motel.
This motel is amazing! I love the giant refrigerator, tv, beds, etc. Exactly what you would expect in a hotel. Service is great, everything is amazing. Definitely deserves 5 stars
Rustic, has electric, bathroom, refrigerator. Old but very well kept. Clean grounds. Affordable. Family owned. We slept well. Will return.
The cost of the hotel room was within our budget for our purpose. A nice rustic setting.
Good stay. Their was a spider on the ceiling, I wish their was no spider but what do you expect when you have a outdoor motel and it’s only 1 floor, but my family likes it their were holes in my room but again what can you expect. Great place 4stars
Stayed here a couple times now and I will continue to return as often as possible. The owners are super, the location is perfect, the rates are competitive, and although the amenities are not what you should expect from a Wyndam Grand, the rustic cabins and decor amongst the lush wooded setting is spot on!!! There's charcoal grills for guests to use, plenty of picnic tables and outdoor seating, plenty of parking in front of back for vehicles with trailers or campers, and even a big ol' buck pole for those who are successful on their hunt. Just down the road from beautiful downtown Pentwater, and a very short drive from US 31 the opposite direction makes this place one of Oceana County's little gems in my book! I would most definitely recommend Pines Motel for anyone. Be it a single person, couples, or families. Keep up the good work!!!
